about me

I’m Federico Francioli, a personal & private chef born and raised in Maremma, Tuscany. A land of extraordinary beauty, still genuine, still a little wild. And the place that taught me everything about food.

I started my culinary journey in 2013 at Castello Banfi in Montalcino, one of Tuscany’s most iconic wine estates. A few years later, I took my knives to Sydney, where I spent a year cooking at Chiosco by Ormeggio, an experience
that sharpened my international perspective and made English my second language at the stove. In 2024, I brought these experiences together with Cook IT: a bespoke private chef project built around one idea, that the best meals happen when there’s a real person behind them.

Today I work across villas, private residences, and exclusive retreats throughout Tuscany and Umbria, while remaining available for private residencies and bespoke culinary projects worldwide. From an intimate private
dinner to a hands-on cooking class or a curated event with bespoke catering, every experience is designed around you, your tastes, your pace, your destination.

Maremma is where I come from, and it shapes everything I cook. My greatest privilege is sharing its authentic soul with the world, bringing the spirit of this land to your table wherever you are. Discover the territory or get in
touch to start planning your experience.

“This was a real treat! Federico was knowledgeable, extremely passionate, and welcoming. His insight as a local was a nice touch and we would love to come back for another more advanced lesson! Thank you!!”

“After nearly a month exploring Italy, we asked our kids what their favorite day had been - and all four immediately said,"the day ChefFedericon came to the villa! The food was incredible, but even more memorable was how kind and engaging they were. It was such a gift to our family and something we'll remember forever."
- Hannah S.
"Amazing experience! His knowledge and the way he shares it were exceptional. Authentic Italian cooking, just like a grandmother would make it. Also, some of the best pasta and tiramisu we’ve ever had. Definitely worth repeating!"
